Did I Ever Tell You…

…The summer after my high school graduation, my best friend Liz received four tickets to any summer concert at DTE Energy Music Theater (formerly known as Pine Knob). She chose to go see Aerosmith and invited me to come. We had amazing seats and Aerosmith was unbelievably fantastic in concert! The theater is an outside theater with a stage and covered seating and then lawn seating in the back. Well, Aerosmith had a second stage set up out by the lawn and, in the middle of the concert, made their way down the aisles to get to the second stage. Our seats were right by one of the aisles and on their way down, I was literally right next to the band. I got to say hi to Steven Tyler and I touched Joe Perry’s arm! Hey, I know this was not a big deal, but this was my one and only celebrity close encounter!

Yesterday I went out and purchased my copy of the Guitar Hero Aerosmith game…and it ROCKS! I have to say, I was expecting the game to just be a play list of Aerosmith hits but that is not the case. In each round, you start as an opening act and have to pass two songs before Aerosmith comes out. As the guitar player, you get to be Joe Perry! In terms of the Aerosmith songs you play, as you progress in your career you get to play the bigger hits. So far I have played songs such as Livin’ on the Edge, Rag Doll, Sweet Emotion and Love in an Elevator. I’ve also purchased the songs Walk This Way (original version) and Pink. I’m addicted all over again.
